Bio
James Gosling is a London-born, Chicago-based screenwriter, producer, and script editor.
He writes bold, character-driven stories that collide history with humanity. Narratives of survival, resilience, and identity.
With an MFA in Screenwriting from DePaul University, he has written and edited multiple shorts and features across the US and UK. He also produced a short film The Secret Light of Flowers (2024) premiered to acclaim on the festival circuit, and his credits include Mister Seeing (script editor, in production), Killingworth (crime thriller), Triple J Ranch (historical drama), and Screwjob (crime/action).
Outside film, Gosling is a photographer, football fan, and gamer. He brings the same eye for detail and rhythm to every pursuit, creating stories that captivate and resonate with audiences worldwide.
Education
With an MFA in Screenwriting from DePaul University and multiple award-winning short films produced, James collaborates remotely and flexibly with producers, directors, and writers across the US, UK, and internationally.
